Should some artworks be required to be classified before exhibition for the purpose of restricting access or providing consumer advice?
Responses to this question were highly polarised, as seen in the distance between ‘yes’ and ‘no’ responses. Those who favoured some form of restriction or classification focused in particular on art works involving ‘children’ and ‘nudity’. Those who opposed applying classification to art works linked this to questions of freedom of expression – as seen in the word clusters at the bottom right corner – as well as to the distinctiveness of art itself and related questions of artistic merit.
