Question 6

Should the size or market position of particular content producers and distributors, or the potential mass market reach of the material, affect whether content should be classified?

There was a strong response in the affirmative to this question, as indicated by the proximity of ‘yes’ answers to other concepts. The size of media companies, the reach of media product, and the market position of particular producers – large or small – were all seen as relevant to whether content should be required to be classified. Very few respondents saw the size of media producers/distributors or the market reach of media content as irrelevant to whether there should be a requirement to classify.
