While many of us unplugged and relaxed over the festive season, members of the ALRC team used their downtime to pursue some creative works inspired by the ALRC’s Financial Services Legislation Inquiry.
Submissions invited in response to Interim Report A
Submissions open until 25 February 2022.
The Commission seeks feedback on 16 proposals and 8 questions in relation to reform of corporations and financial services legislation. The report contains 13 recommendations for reform, which the Government could begin implementing immediately.

The ALRC’s Interim Report A – part of a three-year review of complexity in Commonwealth legislation regulating corporations and financial services – focuses in particular on the use and design of definitions in legislation.
Interim Report A contains recommendations, proposals, and questions in relation to the reform of corporations and financial services legislation.
The recommendations in Interim Report A relate to matters of consensus at this stage in the process and are accordingly in a form that may be implemented prior to the conclusion of this Inquiry, if accepted by the Australian Government.
