The laws regulating corporations and financial services are uniquely and unnecessarily complex. Interim Report A includes innovative research into the extent and nature of complexity in legislation, using empirical data and computational analysis to demonstrate the ballooning volume of law and its increasing complexity.
The Inquiry is part of the Government’s response to the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry released in February 2019. Further interim reports are due in September 2022 and August 2023, with the final report due by 25 November 2023.
