The ALRC is committed to keeping children safe, as outlined in the Commonwealth Child Safe Framework. The ALRC reviews its risk register regularly and has identified that the ALRC holds no responsibility for children and young people. ALRC staff do not interact directly with children or young people in the normal course of their work, however children and young people may make submissions in the course of our law reform inquiries. The ALRC ensures that all ALRC employees have access to the Commonwealth Child Safe Framework learning module and encourages all staff to complete the training annually. The ALRC has determined itself to be compliant with the framework, and will continue to review its policies and procedures against the framework in the coming year.
