1.67 When this Consultation Paper was in press, as part of the National Legal Profession Reform Project the National Legal Profession Reform Taskforce, established by the Australian Government Attorney-General, at the request of the Council of Australian Governments, released its Interim Report on key issues and funding.[66] In May 2010, the National Legal Profession Taskforce released its draft National Law and National Rules for a three-month consultation period.[67] The National Law and National Rules are considered in Chapter 4 of this Consultation Paper. The proposals in the Interim Report were not available for consideration at the time of writing and will be considered in the Final Report in this Inquiry.
