Consultations and the Native Title Conference
After the release of the Issues Paper, the Native Title team embarked on another round of consultations in Brisbane, Perth, Canberra, Adelaide and Broome. We will continue with consultations in Melbourne and Sydney throughout May.
This year the National Native Title Conference is being held in Coffs Harbour, 2-4 June. Commissioner Godden and the rest of the Native Title team will be attending the conference to make a presentation about the ALRC Inquiry. It is also a great opportunity for us to meet Native Title stakeholders from around the country and to learn about their different perspectives on Native Title reform. It is likely to be a busy couple of days, so if you are attending and would like to arrange a time to meet with us during the conference, please get in touch with the ALRC team.
