Save the date!

We’ve been a bit quiet recently. That’s because we’ve had our heads down reading submissions, reviewing our research and consultation notes, and writing the Discussion Paper. In a couple of weeks it will be ready for release, and at that point we’ll be calling on you again to make submissions.

The Discussion Paper is the second consultation document for this Inquiry. It will include proposals for law reform, and also questions around topics where we need more information. While there may be further consultations between it and the final report, the Discussion Paper represents the final opportunity for people and organisations to provide input into the law reform process. We are working towards a release date of 21 May 2014, with submissions due by 30 June. Your input is very important to us, so we encourage you to allow for time to complete submissions during this period. To be considered in the report your submission can’t be late!

We will be providing an abridged version of the Discussion Paper in Easy English.

We also have information about the ALRC process and making submissions in Easy English & Auslan.
