The Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) report, ‘Fulfilling the Promise of Mabo: Reforming the Future Acts Regime in the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth)’ (ALRC Report 144), was tabled in Parliament by the Attorney-General of Australia, the Hon Michelle Rowland MP on 24 June 2026.

The Terms of Reference for this inquiry tasked the ALRC with TBC.
During the Inquiry, the ALRC produced an Issues Paper and Discussion Paper, conducted 115+ consultations with more than 300 consultees, and received more than 160 submissions.
