Vannessa is a Legal Officer at the ALRC. Vannessa joined the ALRC in April 2023 and has worked on the following Inquiry:

Prior to joining the ALRC, Vannessa has worked as a lecturer, tutor, and research assistant at Macquarie University in the fields of intellectual property, technology law, and conveyancing practice.
Vannessa holds a Bachelor of International and Global Studies from the University of Sydney, a Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the University of Technology Sydney, and a Master of Research from Macquarie University. She was admitted as a legal practitioner with the Supreme Court of NSW in October 2016.
She is currently completing a PhD thesis from Macquarie University. Her thesis addresses jurisdiction issues relating to transnational intellectual property litigation and private international law. Her supervisors are Professor Niloufer Selvadurai and Dr Daniela Simone.
