Rich Text Format (RTF)

Rich Text Format (RTF) is a method that allows the easy exchange of text files between different applications or operating systems.

The RTF Specification uses the ANSI, PC-8, Macintosh or IBM PC character sets to control the representation and formatting of a document - on screen and in print.
