Consultation papers
At least one consultation paper will be released for each inquiry - these documents are widely distributed and are free for the life of the inquiry.
Consultation papers are designed to provoke comment and submissions. They may discuss options for reform, however, they are always updated by the final report, which represents the ALRC's final thinking on a particular issue.
Because they are interim documents, many older consultation papers are out of print. Please note: a charge applies for the purchase of consultation papers, once an inquiry is concluded.
