Costs Shifting - Who Pays for Litigation (ALRC 75)
This inquiry into the impact on the litigation system of the costs allocation rules began in June 1994. As part of the inquiry, the Australian Law Reform Commission released an Issues Paper Who Should Pay? A Review of the Litigation Costs Rules (IP 13) and a Draft Recommendations Paper Litigation Costs Rules (DRP 1).
The final report was tabled by the federal Government in October 1995.
As yet, there has been no direct implementation of the recommendations in ALRC 75.
