Child Care for Kids (ALRC 70)
ALRC 70 was the first report in a series of inquiries into Acts administered by the then Department of Health and Family Services. This reference was received on 18 August 1992. A Discussion Paper Child Care (DP 55) was produced in 1993 and the final report was released on 8 November 1994.
The other reports in the series, The Coming of Age (ALRC 72) and Making Rights Count: Services for People with a Disability (ALRC 79), were tabled in federal Parliament in 1995 and 1996 respectively.
There has been partial implementation of the recommendations in ALRC 70.
