Human Tissue Transplants (ALRC 7)
The inquiry into human tissue transplants began with terms of reference received on 15 July 1976.
As part of the inquiry a working paper was released in 1977, followed by Issues Paper 1 Does Australia Need Statutory Brain Death?
The final report, Human Tissue Transplants (ALRC 7), was tabled in federal Parliament on 4 November 1977 and there has been substantial implementation of its recommendations.
