Collective Investments: Superannuation (ALRC 59) & Collective Investments: Other People's Money (ALRC 65)
This reference began with a request from the federal Attorney-General on 24 May 1991.
During the course of the review, the federal Attorney-General asked for an urgent report on superannuation issues. Accordingly, Collective Investments: Superannuation (ALRC 59), was tabled in federal Parliament on 28 April 1992.
Consultation papers published as part of the Collective Investments inquiry were:

Collective Investments (Issues Paper 10);

Collective Investment Schemes: Superannuation (Discussion Paper 50); and

Collective Investment Schemes (Discussion Paper 53).
The three-volume report, Collective Investments: Other People's Money (ALRC 65),was tabled in federal parliament on 30 September 1993. It consists of a report, draft legislation and summary.
There has been substantial implementation of the recommendations of both ALRC 59 and 65.
