Choice of Law (ALRC 58)
The inquiry into the rules governing choice of law and procedure in federal and territory courts began in December 1988.
The Australian Law Reform Commission released an Issues Paper Federal and Territory Choice of Law Rules (IP 8, published 1989) and a Discussion Paper Choice of Law Rules (DP 44, published 1990) before the final report, Choice of Law (ALRC 58), was tabled in May 1992.
There has been partial implementation of the ALRC's recommendations in ALRC 58.
