Censorship Procedure (ALRC 55)
The Australian Law Reform Commission's inquiry into the laws relating to censorship and classification of film and printed matter began in May 1990.
A Discussion Paper Censorship Procedure (DP 47) was published in 1991. The federal Attorney-General tabled the final report, Censorship Procedure (ALRC 55), in Parliament on 11 September 1991.
There has been substantial implementation of the recommendations contained in ALRC 55.
