This reference, examining community attitudes to questions of matrimonial property law, was received by the Australian Law Reform Commission on 16 June 1983.
The Australian Law Reform Commission released a Discussion Paper, Matrimonial Property (DP 22), in 1985.
The federal Government tabled the final report, Matrimonial Property (ALRC 39), on 16 December 1987.
There has been substantial implementation of the recommendations of ALRC 39.
