Community Law Reform for the Australian Capital Territory: First Report - Contributory Negligence (ALRC 28)

On 24 February 1984, the Australian Law Reform Commission was asked by the federal Attorney-General to conduct a law reform program for the Australian Capital Territory. Where reform of a law was possible without extensive investigation, the ALRC could proceed to investigate and report on the law without a further specific reference.

Contributory Negligence (ALRC 28), the Commission's first report on the ACT community law reform program was tabled on 29 November 1985 and there has been substantial implementation of its recommendations.
