Professor Terry Flew was appointed full-time Commissioner on 21 April 2011, specifically for the Censorship and Classification Inquiry. Hi term as Commissioner ends on 28 February 2012.

The Hon Justice Berna Collier, Part-time Commissioner - Published on 16 June 2009.

Justice Collier was appointed a part-time Commissioner of the ALRC for a term of three years on 2 October 2007. She was re-appointed to the position for a further 3 years in November 2010. Justice Collier has been a judge of the Federal Court of Australia, based in Brisbane, since February 2006.

The Hon Justice Susan Kenny, Part-time Commissioner - Published on 15 June 2009.

Justice Kenny was appointed a part-time Commissioner for a term of three years in May 2003. She has been reappointed twice, to July 2012.
